We make silver.
You make it mean something.
CILVIRA is a sterling silver jewellery brand built by two sisters who
believe that the best things you own don’t announce themselves.
They just fit. They become part of how you move through a room,
how you feel on an ordinary Tuesday, how you remember a particular
version of yourself when you look back years from now.
We didn’t set out to make jewellery. We set out to make something
true. It happened to take the shape of silver.
We are built on the belief that jewellery can create connections-
between women, between generations, between stories.
Mission
CILVIRA exists to make pieces that earn their place in your life. Not just on your wrist or at your collar but in the small rituals that make up a day. We want to make things that last. Not because silver is durable (it is), but because we care about what you’re keeping. We want every person who finds us to feel like they were always supposed to.
Values & Mindset
What we actually believe in.
1. Restraint is a form of respect.
We don’t add things to make them seem like more. We remove things until what’s left can hold its own. Every design decision is made by asking what’s necessary and then asking again. This isn’t a design philosophy. It’s how we feel about people’s attention and trust
.
2. Feeling is the point.
We’re not in the business of aesthetics alone. A piece that looks perfect but feels wrong on the skin is a failure. We design for the moment of wearing, not the moment of seeing. The two should ideally be the same. When they are, you know you’ve got it right.
3. Slow is not a flaw.
We’d rather take time to get something right than release something passable quickly. This applies to pieces, to decisions, and to the brand itself. Growth that comes from actually being good at what you do, that’s the only kind worth wanting.
4. We say what we mean.
No language designed to make you feel something we haven’t earned yet. No inflated promises about transformation. You’re already whole. Our job is just to make something worthy of being part of your life, not to convince you that you needed it.
5. The person matters more than the piece.
We are always interested in the person on the other side, who they are, what they carry, what draws them to a particular piece on a particular day. Silver can be beautiful on its own. With you, it becomes something else entirely. That exchange is what we’re here for.
Our Story
We had the conversation more than once before it became serious. Both of us circling an idea, leaving it on the table, picking it back up. There were safer options. There were cleaner paths. We talked about those too.
But there was something about silver. Something that kept coming back. Not the jewellery industry, the material itself. The weight of it. The way it catches light without trying. The fact that it ages alongside you rather than against you.
When we finally said yes, we didn't celebrate. We just started. There were weeks that felt like building in the dark, not knowing if the proportions were right, not knowing if anyone else would see what we were seeing. There were pieces that didn't work. A lot of them. The moment it clicked wasn't dramatic. One of us put on a piece we'd been struggling with, and something about it finally looked like itself. Not like a product. Like an object that had arrived at what it was supposed to be. We looked at each other and didn't say anything. That was the whole story.
CILVIRA is named from the Latin root for silver, argentum's quieter cousin, silver as substance, not status. The name felt like us. Understated but grounded. Something with a little history in it. We are sisters, yes. But we are also two people who happen to see the world in a similar register, who notice the same things, who care about the same quality of attention. That's where CILVIRA lives. In that register.
Our Vision
Not where we’re going. What it looks like if we get it right.
A world where you own fewer things and love them more. Where a piece of silver has a story that isn’t written on a tag, it’s written in the years you wore it. Where the word “jewellery” stops meaning display and starts meaning something closer to memory. We want CILVIRA to be the brand someone recommends quietly. The one you tell your closest friends about, not the one you see everywhere. The kind of thing you can’t quite explain your attachment to, except to say that it’s yours and it fits you and that’s enough.
If we do this right, you won’t remember when you started wearing it. It’ll just be part of the picture.

The Cil Community
The people who find CILVIRA tend to be the ones who already knew
what they were looking for, they just hadn’t found it yet.
There’s something specific about the women who come here. They’re
in the middle of figuring themselves out, not in a lost way, but in the
quiet, ongoing way that never really stops. They know who they are
on most days. On the others, they’re still working it out. Both versions
are welcome here.
They wear silver not because it’s the right thing to wear, but because
something about it feels like them. Uncontrived. A little cool. Present
without being loud. They don’t dress for rooms. They dress for
themselves, and the room adjusts.
What connects them isn’t an aesthetic. It’s a feeling of wanting to
take up space without performing for it. Of being done with the idea
that femininity has to be small or careful or explained. Of knowing
that freedom isn’t dramatic. It’s just the slow accumulation of choices
that are genuinely yours.
The Cil Community is that. A room full of women who chose
themselves, even quietly, even imperfectly. We’re not here to define
what that looks like. We’re here because we’re doing it too.
A Personal Piece
There’s something strange about writing an “About Us” page when the “us” is still becoming. We’re at the beginning. We know that. And it feels important to say it plainly rather than write as though we’ve already arrived somewhere. We made CILVIRA because we wanted to make something we were proud of — something that existed because it should, not because the timing was right or the market said so. We were scared. Honestly. We still are, a little. That hasn’t gone away. We’ve just decided it’s not a reason to stop. If you’re reading this, you’re early. You found us before the rest of the world did. That means something to us more than we’ll probably say out loud. We hope you stay. And we hope that whatever piece of ours lives with you, it earns its place.
